Dev Gupta, CEO of Sanosil Biotech Pvt. Ltd. (SBPL), is clearly a Renaissance man in the making with interest ranging from Independent foreign films to Contemporary Indian Art, Gupta has successfully straddled many a world including nursing an eco-friendly company in SBPL from its fledging days into a nationwide enterprise manufacturing and marketing an extensive range of disinfectants and fumigants in technical collaboration with SANOSIL AG of Switzerland.

A graduate in International Business Management from Bentley Graduate School of Business, Boston, Gupta spent his formative years in St Mary's High School, Bombay and then H.R. College of Commerce and Economics before moving on to Business School in Boston.

Gupta hails from a dyed-in-the-wool industrial house, founded by Seth Mukand Lal, a noted Gandhian and founder of the Mukand Iron & Steel Company. He had always dreamt of being a mountaineer having spent his childhood in his family estate in Mussoorie on the foothills of the Himalayas where he lost his heart both to the beauty of the rugged expanse and to horse riding. Unable to follow mountaineering as a full-time career, Gupta made up for it through horse riding, sailing and adventure sports not to forget Rugby. He has been a regular for the Bombay Gymkhana team having represented the club from 1989 to 1994 and helping it win on 3 occasions the All India and South Asia Rugby tournament.

Life in the post MBA years demanded that he explore other pastures. Hence Gupta acquired quite a number of corporate slice-of-life experiences. However, the entrepreneurial bug bit him and he started Sanosil Biotech which revolutionized eco-friendly fumigation practices by all leading pharmaceutical companies and hospitals in India. Gupta is now involved hands on with Sanosil Biotech as well as Oikos Paints. A leading decorative paint company from Italy. Dev hold's the position of the Marketing Director and plays an instrumental role in introducing to India for the first time decorative paints like Mother of Pearl, Venetian Stucco, Velvet, Metallic effects as well as paints for exteriors. All Oikos paints are water based and have no effect on the environment and the applicator.

Although Gupta still reminiscences fondly about his days in Boston and Mussoorie, it is now work in almost 24 X 7 mode for this young entrepreneur who leaves his mark on both mind and heart. Given his achievements, one is surprised to find that he is so unassuming and self-effacing. Perhaps that is why you cannot miss the boy in him. If you notice his absence, as his friends do, and if he is not involved with the hustle and bustle of the corporate world, you will be dead right if you think that you will find him back with his beloved nature sail boat racing off the Bombay Harbour or riding his favorite Black Stallion through the narrow pathways of Matheran.
